Pray for Afghanistan

Pray for Afghanistan

Please join us as we lift up in prayer the people of Afghanistan, our church partners, and Mission Eurasia leaders in the Central Asia region.

Like many of you, we’re deeply saddened by the shocking news reports of Taliban forces taking control over this country, Christians being slaughtered, and people falling to their death after clinging to a plane, hoping to escape their troubled nation. Many Afghan Christians are losing hope of surviving this latest crisis as their government has fallen into the hands of radical Islamic terrorists. Traumatized refugees are already fleeing into neighboring nations, where our partnering churches are equipped and trained to respond to this horrific crisis.

For more than 20 years, areas of Afghanistan have seen a growing evangelical presence and newly planted underground churches. But now many of these fellow believers are trapped and remain in hiding as the Taliban goes door to door targeting Christians and other groups with an agenda to destroy and wipe out all Western presence. We fear many of our Christian brothers and sisters will not survive in the days ahead.

Please pray!

We’re calling on churches and ministry partners in the U.S. and throughout Eurasia to pray for the Afghan people and our ministry partners in countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other neighboring countries in the Eurasia region where we serve. This refugee crisis is just beginning. We need your continued prayers and support as we respond to the needs of desperate refugees and their families.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support that help equip us for such a time as this! Please stay tuned for more updates as this crisis unfolds.

"Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise up against me; deliver me from those who work evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men" (Psalm 59: 1-2).

Gratefully in Him,
