Table Host FAQs
The Mission Eurasia Launching Kingdom Leaders in Eurasia Spring Benefit is a fundraising and informational event. Our goal is to engage the global church in our mission to train and equip the Next Generation of young Christian leaders in Eurasia.
All attendees will be asked to consider supporting our mission in two ways:
- Give: Make a financial gift in support of Mission Eurasia and the servant leaders we equip. Even if you’re unable to commit your time, most everyone can make even a small financial commitment that will pay off in a big way for God’s kingdom in Eurasia. The money raised at the Spring Benefit helps us provide practical, biblical missions training to young national Christians through our School Without Walls program. Your support will help raise up servant leaders that will transform their communities and nations!
- Advocate: Spread the word – among your family, peers, friends, and business contacts – about the impact of Mission Eurasia in the countries of Eurasia and how they can learn more.
What is a Table Host?
A Table Host invites 8-9 other carefully selected people to join you for dinner in order to learn more about the work of Mission Eurasia and to hear stories of lives changed. Church, family, friends, neighbors, and work colleagues make excellent potential guests. We encourage table hosts to share about your involvement with and belief in Mission Eurasia as part of your dinner conversation with your guests.
Does it cost money to be a Table Host?
The dinner is free for you and your guests. Everyone will be asked to consider a contribution, as there are many ministry opportunities! However there is no minimum (and certainly no maximum!) gift level. Our goal for the 2017 Mission Eurasia Benefit is $35,000 to train and equip young Kingdom leaders in Eurasia. You will not need to ask your guests for a contribution; it will be Mission Eurasia’s job to inspire your guests to participate and give.
What if I can’t fill a table?
We understand that from time to time, a Table Host might not be able to fill his or her table. If this is a concern of yours, just let us know. We can help you fill your table with other attendees, or you can choose to co-host a table with a friend. And of course, you can always ask your guests to bring a guest of their own.
What is the suggested process of organizing a table?
Invite your guests in person, by phone or e-mail. Follow up with phone calls and/or emails to re-confirm their attendance prior to the dinner. We will provide you with printed invitations for your convenience. Our goal for 2018 is to have 10 Table Hosts and approximately 120 people at the event. We invite you to be a Table Host and an ambassador for Mission Eurasia in your community!
