SHINE THE LIGHT INITIATIVE
Help Mission Eurasia provide light, heat, electrical power, and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children, women, and men suffering from the ongoing war in Ukraine through the provision of generators.
THE NEED:
As the war in Ukraine enters its third year, 20 million children, women, and men — nearly one-half of Ukraine’s population — have been displaced because of the war.
Tens of thousands of people remain trapped in bombed-out villages in the war zone without natural gas, hot water, food, or basic necessities.
Individuals and families as well as medical clinics, churches, and aid distribution centers throughout Ukraine continue to suffer from the lack of power due to Russia’s continued attacks on power stations and the electrical grid.
As Ukraine approaches its third winter — a winter that experts predict will be even harsher than last year — people remember the difficulties of the previous two winters, including the lack of power and heat for their homes. They worry about their children who are more susceptible to illness during cold months. Families who left their homes, often with just one set of belongings for all seasons, are particularly concerned. They constantly seek ways to provide essentials for their loved ones.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Since the war began in February 2022, Mission Eurasia has developed and continues to launch innovative programs to meet the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of children, women, and men forced to leave their homes and communities.
By God’s amazing grace and provision, Mission Eurasia is able to procure 200 large eight-kilowatt generators at cost. Each generator provides power, light, and heat to multiple homes as well as to aid distribution and community centers, mobile and community medical clinics, Mission Eurasia’s Bread of Life bakeries, and churches.
Generators will be delivered to those most in need, including families with children, widows of war, chaplains working with military personnel serving on the front line, and organizations serving those in need. Generators will be provided by leaders from our School Without Walls (SWW) and Next Generation Professional Leaders Initiative (NGPLI), along with copies of Scripture and the Good News of the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
Through the Shine the Light Initiative, Mission Eurasia will:
-
Distribute these 200 generators to those most in need and in the hardest-hit areas of Ukraine.
-
Provide at least 10,000 children, women, and men with light, heat, food, and other basic necessities through these generators.
-
Ensure that the gospel is shared and copies of Scripture are distributed to everyone who receives these generators.

Generators
Please consider making a gift of any amount to help us reach our goal of delivering 200 life-saving generators. Your partnership will bring hope and light to those in desperate need.
GENERATORS
The cost to obtain and deliver each generator is $1,200. Mission Eurasia is seeking funding for all 200 generators for a total amount needed of $250,000.
OVERALL OUTCOME
Memories of this war and the experiences children and adults have endured will stay with them. They will also remember that, during these tough times, people helped and cared for them. This is especially important for the children and widows of war who are the most vulnerable and defenseless. Not only will you provide assistance to at least 10,000 people to meet their physical needs, but you will also help provide a tangible expression of God’s love and care.
REQUEST
Please prayerfully consider a gift of any amount to help us reach our goal. Your partnership and support in this effort will bring hope and the promise of salvation to those who need it most.
